Short Description

This is the proposal for our Construct 2 game project which will be made following the theme of Indonesian culture which we will use as the core of our game. Our group’s idea is to make a card game which we will call Enam2. It is a party-style card game that can be played with multiple players where the cards will be themed using features of Indonesian culture.

Pictured below is an example of how the design of one of the cards in the game are going to look like.

Deck structure and basic overview

Within the game, a player’s objective will be to beat out the other players in order to win by collecting influence cards using money or action cards, the player with the most influence cards at the end of the game will win. The card previously shown is an action card a player can use while their turn is active. Besides these action cards, the game will use it’s own currency cards based on the Indonesian Rupiah which players will use to buy influence cards.

Our vision is to make a game that people can enjoy playing while also allowing them to embrace Indonesian culture or for those who are less familiar, to have a slight taste of the culture. The game will include sound effects, music and support for multiplayer. We also hope to implement multi-platform support for the game.

Gameplay

At the start of the game, a player will receive a character card which has its own special ability and 6 cards from a pile which include either action cards or cash cards that represent a player’s money. On each turn a player will draw 2 cards from the pile and have 3 opportunities to play an action. These actions include: playing an action card, placing cash cards into their personal bank, using your cash to buy an influence card from the influence pile or using your character’s special ability. If a player is unwilling to play any actions during their turn they may move on to the next player. The game ends if the pile of influence cards finishes or the game reaches 15 turns.
